Aboard the MS Splendid Horizon, at sunset. Dev Raman, an actuary from Columbus, Ohio, has spent ten years calculating other people's disasters without ever living one. Then a lab monkey with a genius-making brain chip takes the wheel and runs the ship onto a reef. While the deck tilts and everyone flees, Dev beams by the pool: someone must round up the stragglers before the last lifeboat leaves. A sunny screwball comedy where disaster is a dream come true.
