New York, 2049. Henning Vogel, a railway signal engineer from Wuppertal, takes his first vacation in nine years to keep a promise to his late grandfather: with the old Leica, he will retake Opa Willi's 1979 photo before the Statue of Liberty, from the very same spot. One frame is left. But this gleaming city scans faces, not passports, and has no time for paper, cash or film. A warm comedy-drama of German manners in a frictionless future.
