The Year of Our Lord 1347. Timid Brother Anselm hasn't left his abbey in twenty years, and the last leaf of the Book of Hours he copied is still blank: he has seen nothing worth painting. Then he leans too far over the abbey well and lands on a rainy modern highway at night. Cars, phones and vending machines await, and Brother Anselm has his own explanations for all of them. A warm-hearted time-travel comedy of glorious misunderstandings.
