1934. Ten years ago Professor Eleanor Marsh vanished up the Kaca River looking for a temple made entirely of glass. Now her last letter turns up in a mailbag from a sunken ship, addressed to her old student, the cartographer Jeremy Topper: it is real. But a glamorous looter has already gone upriver. A pulp jungle adventure in the grand old style, of rivers, rivals and ancient machinery.
