Halcyon, a gas giant with no ground at all, where people live on the backs of gigantic sky-whales above an ocean of pink cloud. Kit Farrow is a cocky eighteen-year-old sky-thief who has never had a whale of her own, until a perfumed Commodore offers her enough gold to buy one, for stealing the Dawn Egg from the nest of the herd's ancient Matriarch. A soaring, swashbuckling aerial adventure.
