14 Maple Court, a sunny suburban cul-de-sac. For three days Surveyor Third-Class Gar-Ix Thuul of the Vrell Survey Fleet has lived here as 'Gary', and he is terrible at it. Tomorrow, at the block party, his vain Overseer inspects his cover, and if the neighbours won't vouch for Gary, the whole street goes into a specimen jar. Gary has a suspicious HOA president to charm, a UFO-hunting kid to dodge and a mailman he must not eat. A fish-out-of-water comedy about humans, seen through alien eyes.
