The Meridian Hotel, November 1947. At six this morning, Tommy Delgado will die in the electric chair for strangling the singer Lila Crane there five years ago, and Detective Sergeant Eli Marsh witnessed his confession. At midnight the hotel's night manager calls Eli back: everyone from that night is waiting on the seventh floor. In the register, beside Room 7, is Eli's own name. A rain-soaked noir mystery, where every lie was told for a reason.
